Profiq is operated by UpCapital Global FZCO (Dubai Silicon Oasis, UAE). This policy explains what we collect, why, and the rights you have. We designed Profiq so that connected data is used only to verify your own claims, never to profile you for advertising.
What we collect
- Account data: your email, name, and a securely hashed password (we never store your password in plain text).
- Verification data: information you choose to connect (e.g. GitHub) used solely to verify your professional events.
- Content: posts, profile photo (compressed in your browser before upload), and timeline events you create.
- Security logs: sign-in events, IP address, and user agent, kept to protect your account and detect abuse.
Legal basis (GDPR Art. 6)
We process account and verification data to perform our contract with you (providing the service), security logs under our legitimate interest in protecting the platform, and any marketing email only with your explicit consent, which you may withdraw at any time.
Your rights
You can access and export all your data as JSON, and permanently deleteyour account and data, at any time from Settings. These satisfy your GDPR rights to access (Art. 15), portability (Art. 20), and erasure (Art. 17). To exercise any other right, contact ceo@theupcapital.com.
Data retention
We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account, your personal records are removed immediately; minimal security-log tombstones (without linking back to a live account) are retained for up to 90 days for fraud prevention, then automatically de-identified and purged.
Sharing
We use Neon (database), Resend (transactional email), and Anthropic (the Ava assistant). They process data only to provide their service to us. We do not sell your data.
